DIGITAL MARKETING & MEASUREMENT MODEL (DMMM)
I say Marketing is a super exciting, (though can be complex) paranoia.
Don’t get me wrong, it still have its simplest of form, but two things still remain
1) its fundamental for any business growth and
2) The way we do it is ever changing.
From awesome success stories, to amazing results from testing and experimentation, its now more important than ever for marketing to be built on frameworks and this particular framework i love so much (Essentially for big corporations and companies but can work for smaller ones too) accounts for almost circumstance and role player involved in the marketing and measurement process.
if your role involves marketing do yourself a favor and look into this framework, notice the DMMM doesn’t just focus on Marketing, a huge chunk of it goes into the essence of measuring, and Analytics.
Another benefit of this model is that here the marketer, digital director, or data Ninja isn’t just responsible for working success, Management and Senior Executives also have a huge role to play to ensure Marketing (And measurement) fosters overall organizational growth in a manner that exceeds expectations.
The model summary above might look simple, but in real life, its a little bit more work than you may think and it takes into account a lot of directions and discussions to build, and once it is built and follow promptly, your organization would be better off.
So first the process involved
- understanding the overall business objectives: you as the business owner, or member of senior management(Big Corporations) would play an essential role here
- Setting business goals: Business objectives and goals differ, and while the Executives and management leads, here the Analyst and Marketer would also play a key role
- Building: This is actually simple, don’t assume, get all the right questions listed, and find out who within the organization has the right answers, use the template and observe as you go forward. I try not to keep this read too long, this is just an introduction to a marketing and measurement model i found really exciting and super exciting. Until next time, stay amazing!
